This year's aso ebi is a lovely blue ankara:

  • Wax-resist dyeing technique: While initially inspired by Indonesian batik, modern Ankara fabrics are typically industrially produced using a wax-resist dyeing technique, resulting in patterns that appear vibrant on both sides of the fabric.
  • Versatility in use: African wax prints are widely used for various purposes, including traditional clothing, contemporary fashion, accessories, and home decor items.
