THE GATHERING BEGINS
Every January, something extraordinary unfolds across West Africa.
The drums begin. The shrines open. The processions emerge. The dancers appear.
The priests take their places. Communities gather. Families return.
Visitors arrive from around the world. And for a brief moment, the distance between memory and experience disappears.
What many know only through books, photographs, and stories becomes visible.
Alive. Present. Moving through sacred spaces, communities, shrines, and celebrations. This is the Gathering.
And for a small number of people, it becomes something more.
An opportunity to enter the Circle.
THE SACRED RETURN CIRCLE
Sacred Return is assembling a Circle of four participants for January 2027.
The Circle will travel together through Nigeria and Benin during one of the most vibrant seasons of cultural and spiritual celebration in West Africa.
Through relationship, community, sacred encounters, and cultural immersion, participants will experience the deeper heartbeat beneath the Gathering.
The Circle is intentionally small.
Small enough for meaningful relationships.
Small enough for deeper access.
Small enough for every participant to be fully present.
WHO JOINS THE CIRCLE?
The Circle attracts people who:
• Feel drawn toward Africa and its living traditions.
• Value community as much as experience.
The Circle is for people who:
• Seek meaningful encounters.
• Want to participate rather than simply observe.
The Circle is ideal for people who:
• Feel called toward a deeper relationship with ancestry, culture, spirituality, or identity.
• Understand that some journeys are measured by what happens within us as much as where we travel.
