African Healing ArtsAccording to indigenous thought, the physical world is the reflection of a more complex, subtler, and more lasting energy field. Nothing happens in the physical world that did not begin in that unseen world: conflict, sickness, despair, uncontrollable anger, financial hardship, and habitual negativism are all manifestations of spiritual imbalance.
Ritual is the principal tool used to approach the spiritual world in a way that rearranges the structure of the physical world and bring about material transformation. The Retreat The half-day African Healing Arts ceremony is a journey to the unseen energetic source to restore alchemical balance, knowing spiritual healing creates physical wellbeing. Based on organizing principles of West African spiritual traditions, you'll be invited to create sacred space (internally and externally) through altar building, guided drumming, chanting and devotional songs. We will integrate African mythology and Jungian psychology to facilitate spiritual discourse on the path of initiation. |
