"A first principle is a basic, foundational proposition or assumption that cannot be deduced from any other proposition or assumption. Ori is a first principle of spiritual evolution. This is why the elders tell us 'Ori lo da ni, enikan o d’Ori' [It is Ori that created us; nobody created Ori]. It means that, while all living beings can be deduced from ori, there are no antecedents of ori itself. It is an original, primordial source of existence. Consequently, when you wish to tap into your GENERATIVE powers, you must align yourself with ori, which manifests itself in many different ways.

On the other hand, as ori ascends, enables expansion and transcendental identity with all creation. This is why Ifa teaches us that 'If one ori succeeds, it will reach out to touch 200. If my ori succeeds, it will reach out to touch yours.' And so, you see the importance of establishing your practice upon first principles, like ori. This is fundamental to living the medicine."
