"Korikosun means 'I will not let a day pass without seeing you'. It is a designation reserved for best friends, who are inseparable. Likewise, oredebi means 'Friends-become-family'. The Yoruba tradition places a very high value on friendship and social circles. And in places like Ibadan and the USA, where ancient social patterns were interrupted by civil warfare and slavery, it has become the norm that friends are often as close as family. Ultimately, a life without trust is hardly living. And so, we give thanks for those who we rely upon for support, nurturing and community. May the circle of kindred spirits continue to expand until our goodness touches every corner of the known world! Ase!"
