It is exceedingly rare to meet a client who is on top of the world and wants to acquire wisdom to guide her life towards deeper meaning and purpose. So, much of what I do is a mild form of pain management. My job is to provide guidance and intervention that will bring a bit of joy inside the tears, with the hopes that you will adopt those habits that gradually become a lifestyle of preventative medicine. Sometimes, I am disappointed when my clients commit to things that are slightly less than what they are actually capable of. But I know that they agree with the principle but may lack the capacity to deliver in practice. The key is to build long term relationships. This is what allows us to take a developmental approach to personal change, which is much more organic and realistic. This is how we live the medicine, together! "
