‘Odunfa’ is the annual Ifa festival, during which rites and ceremonies are performed to guide personal and collective well being. 

SIX DAY CELEBRATION OF AFRICAN WISDOM

The Odunfa Banquet & Inauguration is a ceremonial event celebrating Obafemi Origunwa's twelfth year of Ifa priesthood. The 2016 Odunfa also affirms Origunwa's leadership as President of the Agbole Foundation of America. The ceremony marks the culmination of the Agbole’s liturgical calendar and the beginning of a New Year and is intended to provide ancestral guidance for the entire community.
 
The Odunfa Banquet & Inauguration coincides with the Full Moon of May. The festivities focus on acknowledging the internal spirit of Obafemi Origunwa. This year's theme is PATHWAYS OF ASCENT.  
 
The 2016 Ifa Festival will be especially distinguished by the presence of High Priest, Araba Fayemi Elebuibon, who will confer special blessings upon Obafemi Origunwa and the entire Oakland community. The banquet will be punctuated by the Presidential Oath of Office, followed by musical performances, recitation of sacred poetry and fine dining. 
 
In addition to family, friends and supporters, the attendees will include Members of Agbole Board of Directors, friends of the Agbole, high-ranking Òrìsà priests and other dignitaries from Mexico, Cuba, New York, Los Angeles and beyond.
