Structured Learning Cycles
The School operates on a 12-week trimester system. The underlying pedagogical model is best understood as a cyclical, spiral-based mastery system rather than a linear curriculum. Mastery is not achieved by finishing content, but by deepening relationship to the same practices over time.Â
Our exclusive, Apprenticeship Pedagogy merges Western philosophical teachings with traditional Yoruba priesthood training systems:
- Learning is recursive, not linear
- Students revisit teachings after transformation events
- Authority increases with demonstrated embodiment
This is critical: The curriculum is not just about content—it is about who the student becomes each cycle.
Â
Odu Study Group

Dream Incubation

"In the School of Orisa Studies, you will go beyond learning mere concepts — you will be immersed into a full system of development."
ENROLL IN THE SCHOOLChoose Your Own Pathway
Orunmila's first three students were Akoda, Aseda and Agbongbon. Akoda was taught ritual and he became a specialist. Then, Orunmila taught philosophy to Aseda and he became a teacher. Finally, Orunmila taught Agbongbon to combine ritual and philosophy; he became a leader. The School offers students three learning pathways, based upon Orunmila's structure.Â
