Keep Your Eyes on the Prize

"Bí ojú ò bá fọ́, ẹsẹ̀ kìí ṣìnà." If the eyes do not go blind, the legs can't miss the way. Deception is everywhere. Manipulation has become the order of the day. Belief is not enough nowadays; you need to know. Increasingly, the mainstream will confuse conviction with intolerance and make it seem as though anybody who is not distracted by shiny objects is some kind of ogre. Don't believe the hype! Remember who you serve. Continue to focus your vision onto that one, visionary goal that inspires you more than being accepted. My friend once gave me some advice that I think is fitting here. He said, "People will either decide to like you or to dislike you." So, don't go compromising every shred of values you ever had, just that you can fit in to the mainstream circus! Like Marley sang, "Open your eyes and look within! Are you satisfied with the life you're living. We know where we're going. We know where we're from. We're leaving Babylon, going to our father's land! " Live the medicine.
